Dhaka University (DU) is still working on results for its Arts, Law and Social Sciences unit admission test, with no publication date set yet.

Evaluation of answer scripts is ongoing and will take more time, according to Professor Dr. Taiabur Rahman, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and admission test coordinator for the unit.

"The evaluation of answer scripts has not yet been completed. It will take some more time," he told The Daily Campus on Tuesday. "Once the marking process is finished and the results are prepared, the university's Public Relations Office will announce when the results may be published."

Exam was held on December 13 last year and saw 1 lakh 07 thousand 701 students sit for just 2 thousand 934 seats, meaning roughly 37 candidates competed for each place.

University sources said authorities are aiming to publish results within one month of the test date, though this hasn't been officially confirmed.

Examination took place smoothly across multiple centres. Beyond DU's own campus, tests were held at public universities in seven divisional cities including Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, Barishal University, Khulna University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Bangladesh Agricultural University in Mymensingh, and Begum Rokeya University.
Arrangement allowed students from different regions to sit the exam without travelling to Dhaka.
