Only 7.29pc pass DU arts, law, social sciences admission test

Dhaka University (DU) announced on Tuesday that only 7.29 percent of candidates passed the admission test for Arts, Law and Social Sciences units for 2025–2026 academic year.

According to university’s Public Relations Office, out of 1,03,611 applicants competing for 2,934 seats, just 7,553 candidates were successful. 

Of the successful candidates, 4,109 were from humanities group, 2,981 from science group and 463 from business studies group. 

The admission test was held on December 13, 2025.

Results are available on the university’s website at admission.eis.du.ac.bd. Candidates can also check their results via SMS by sending DU ALS <roll no> to 16321 using Grameenphone, Banglalink or Teletalk numbers.

Successful candidates can fill in the detailed form and select subject preferences from 3:00 PM on January 27 to 3:00 PM on February 5. 

Applicants applying under quotas must collect the relevant forms from Dean’s Office of Faculty of Social Sciences during the first five days of February and submit them within the same period.

Applications for result rechecking can be submitted at Dean’s Office of Faculty of Social Sciences from 21–27 January upon payment of the required fee.
