Voting is proceeding peacefully in Dhaka-19 constituency for the 13th National Parliamentary Elections, with no reports of any untoward incidents so far. Law enforcement personnel are maintaining a vigilant presence across the area.
According to witnesses, steady voter turnout in various polling centres in Savar municipality and surrounding areas. Both men and women are participating actively, demonstrating enthusiasm and discipline.
At Savar Model Government Primary School, there are 3,257 registered voters, including 1,601 men and 1,656 women. Of these, 62 men and 53 women have cast their votes so far.
At Badda High School and College, centre 1 for women has five booths with 2,262 voters, of which 190 have voted, while centre 2 has 2,605 voters, with 161 votes recorded.
Meanwhile, at Badda Government Primary School, Male Centre 1 has five booths with 2,215 voters, 331 of whom have cast their ballots. Centre 2, with five booths and 2,325 registered voters, has recorded 318 votes so far.
At Child Haven School, out of 3,409 registered voters, 485 have voted. At Chalok Gram Government Primary School, 246 of 2,930 voters have cast their votes.
Presiding Officer of Badda Government Primary School Mohammad Abdur Rahim said, “Voting started at 7:30 AM and is proceeding smoothly. Voters are coming voluntarily and peacefully.”
Other centres in the constituency, including Naihati Government Primary School in Ashulia (72 voters), Goalbari Government Primary School (415 voters) and Doshaid School and College (270 voters), have also reported early voter participation.
Savar Upazila Executive Officer and Assistant Returning Officer Saiful Islam said, “Around 9 percent of voters cast their ballots in the first two hours of polling. No untoward incidents have been reported, and voter turnout is expected to increase as the day progresses.”
