Man killed in Panchagarh road mishap

A man was killed in a road mishap at Tentulia upazila in Panchagarh district on Monday morning.

The deceased was identified as Sohel Rana, 35, son of Samad, a resident of Daulatpara area under Tirnoihat union in the upazila.

According to locals, the incident occurred on the Tentulia–Banglabandha highway when a motorcycle travelling from Banglabandha towards Tentulia struck Sohel while he was crossing the road, throwing him onto the highway and he died on the spot while the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries.

Later, locals rushed the injured to Tentulia Upazila Health Complex for treatment.

Tentulia Highway Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Debashish Roy confirmed the incident.
