International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) Chief Prosecutor Tajul Islam has reaffirmed that the tribunal's judicial proceedings will continue, regardless of the status of the current prosecution team.

Speaking at the ICT premises on Thursday, Tajul said the government has unofficially signalled that the rule of law will take its course.

"We join the nation in hoping that the trial process at the courts will continue," he said, referring to remarks by the newly appointed law minister.

"We will continue our activities as long as we remain in charge," Tajul added, underscoring the prosecution's commitment to seeing the tribunal's cases through.    "bdnews24
