President, PM pay tribute to Pilkhana martyrs

President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Prime Minister (PM) Tarique Rahman on Wednesday paid homage to the army personnel martyred in the Pilkhana massacre at Banani Military Cemetery in the capital.

At around 10AM, they placed wreaths at the graves of the fallen officers, observing a moment of solemn respect in memory of the martyrs of the 2009 tragedy.
Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed and Chiefs of three services were present there.

As part of the programme, a special prayer (munajat) was held for the souls of the martyrs.
