Foundation stone laid for four Kaliganj projects

KALIGANJ, GAZIPUR, Mar 3: The foundation stone for four important development works was laid in Kaliganj, Gazipur, under the Urban Governance and Infrastructure Improvement Project (UGIIP). This initiative has been taken with the aim of improving local infrastructure and enhancing civic amenities.

AKM Fazlul Haque Milon, Member of Parliament for the Gazipur-5 constituency, attended the event organised by the municipality on Monday afternoon as the chief guest and laid the foundation stones.

On the occasion, he said the government prioritises improving the quality of life for citizens in the municipal area through planned development.

He further stated that once these projects are implemented, the communication system and urban amenities will increase significantly.

The event was presided over and overseen by the Kaliganj Upazila Executive Officer and Administrator of Kaliganj Municipality A.T.M. Kamrul Islam.

He said the infrastructural development of the municipal area will be accelerated through the proper implementation of the projects.

Upazila Project Implementation Officer Abul Kalam Azad, Public Health Engineer Abul Hossain, Municipality Assistant Engineer Munnur Ahmed, BNP leader Solayman Alam, Farid Mridha, Lutfar Rahman, Ibrahim Pradhan, Monir Uddin Pathan Mithu, along with leaders from local BNP and its associate bodies, journalists from various media outlets, representatives from civil society and dignitaries were present at the time.
