2 girls die after wall collapses in Badda

Two children were killed after an old boundary wall of an under-construction building collapsed in Badda in the capital on Wednesday.

The incident occurred around 11:15am in Lane 10 of the Uttar Badda Purboanchal area. The deceased were identified as Nusrat, 5, and Ayesha Moni, 12.

After the accident, the injured children were rescued and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) at around 12:45pm, where doctors declared them dead, said Inspector Md Faruk, in-charge of the DMCH police outpost.

Ayesha and Nusrat were playing near their house in the morning when the old boundary wall of a nearby under-construction building suddenly collapsed on them.
