Under the government management, the minimum package for next year's hajj has been priced at Tk 505,648, while the private has been fixed at Tk 5,13,648.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs announced the hajj package on Tuesday (July 21). Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad made the announcement at the Secretariat.
The cost for 'Hajj Package-1' has been set at Tk 6,15,263 and 'Hajj Package-2' at Tk 5,05,648. Pilgrims under Hajj Package-1 will be provided with accommodation within
1,000 to 1,400 metres of the outer courtyard of Masjid al-Haram in
Makkah. In Madinah, they will stay in Markazia area.
The tent
location for these pilgrims in Mina will be Zone-2. Services in Mina and
Arafat will be provided under 'Service Package-3' category, which
includes food supplied by the Moallem.
While the typical stay in
Saudi Arabia is 35 to 40 days, pilgrims may opt for room upgrades or
short package facilities by paying additional fees.
On the other hand, accommodation in Makkah for package-2 will be located within two to three kilometres of the outer courtyard of Masjid al-Haram. In Madinah, pilgrims will stay within 800 metres of the Masjid al-Nabawi, outside the Markazia area.
In instances where hotels are located more than two kilometres away, Salawat bus services will be arranged in accordance with Saudi government regulations. The tent location in Mina for this package will be in Zone-5.
For pilgrims performing hajj through private agencies, a package titled the 'General Hajj Package under the Private Management' has been set. The cost of the package has been fixed at Tk 513,648.
Meanwhile, the government has reduced airfare for Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims by Tk 24,830, bringing the fare down to Tk 130,000.
