The list of perpetrators of various crimes, including illegal activities, harassment of political party leaders, vote rigging, disappearances, murders, and extortion from businessmen, is getting longer during the 1/11 during the army-backed caretaker government.

Those listed who are in the country have been kept under surveillance. Information about them has been provided at the airport so that they cannot leave the country.

In addition, law enforcement agencies are collecting information through Interpol about those who are abroad. Initiatives are being taken to bring them back.

Three army officers have been arrested so far. former Member of Parliament from Feni-3, Lieutenant General (retd) Masud Uddin Chowdhury,  former director general of the DGFI retired lieutenant general Mamun Khaled have already been interrogated on remand by members of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police and the others Intelligence agencies.

During interrogation, they gave sensational information. They gradually gave information to the detectives about various events that happened at that time. The investigation is proceeding with all this information.

The intelligence agencies have already compiled a large list and collected information about their whereabouts, because of their alleged involvement in the 1/11 during the army-backed caretaker government.

Many predators who were involved with 1/11 people went into exile in different countries of the world with the help of the Awami League.

The list of detectives includes people from various professions, including former army officers, bureaucrats, influential businessmen, some controversial political figures, and former law enforcement officers.

The Interpol desk of the police headquarters has requested information from Interpol on the names of some people who are abroad. Among them are former army chief Moin U Ahmed, former chief advisor to the caretaker government Fakhruddin and other important people. They are in various countries in Europe and America, including the, UK, and Australia.

These individuals used the state and the army to benefit a group and committed various crimes. They wanted to push the country towards a dangerous situation. They illegally captured frontline leaders, activists and businessmen and tortured them in torture cells.

Intelligence sources say that the 1/11 coup was part of a long-term plan. The main goal of the economic and policy changes that were introduced at that time was to take control of certain sectors of the country.

Although Masud Uddin Chowdhury,  Mamun Khaled  were arrested in human trafficking and murder cases, the main charges against them are related to various misdeeds during the 1/11 and Awami League eras. They are accused of various crimes including abuse of power, disappearance, murder, corruption and money laundering.

Many names have come out of Masud and Khaled during interrogation by detectives. The two arrested former officers, instead of admitting their crimes, are blaming former army chief Moin U Ahmed and former DGFI chief Major General ATM Amin.

Khaled claimed that Moin U Ahmed used to give orders to ATM Amin. Amin forced the officers working in the DGFI at that time to implement his orders. However, Major General (retd.) ATM Amin and Lt. General (retd.) Masud Uddin Chowdhury were the ones who masterminded everything. Major General (retd.) ATM Amin is currently based in Dubai.

Sources say that efforts are being made to bring him back to the country through intelligence channels. Another powerful officer of the then DGFI, Major General (retd) Saeed Joardar, is currently traveling between Dubai and Canada.

Masud Uddin Chowdhury said on remand that the then army chief General Moin U Ahmed dreamed of becoming the president. He went a long way in realizing this dream. In the end, he could not become the president due to various obstacles, according to intelligence agencies.
