5 units deployed as fire breaks out at Diabari slum

A fire broke out at a slum in Diabari area of the capital on Thursday evening, prompting a swift response from the Fire Service and Civil Defence.

According to fire officials, the blaze originated beside Abdur Rahman High School around 6:25 PM. Being informed, five firefighting units were dispatched to the scene and were working to bring the fire under control.

Fire Service officials confirmed the incident and said that efforts were ongoing to douse the flames.

The cause of the fire and the extent of damage could not be immediately determined. No casualties had been reported as of filing this report.
