The iron shackles of a courtroom and the rigid dock of the law may confine a convict or an accused, but does anyone truly possess the power to restrain the pull of a blood bond? Today, amidst the stifling atmosphere of the court, as a little girl reached out to kiss her father’s lips, perhaps even the books of law faltered for a fleeting moment.
The innocent child does not know whether her father is guilty or innocent; she only knows that this man is her entire world. The greatest court in the world is love. It requires no legal documents-only a pair of tender hands and a heart full of yearning.
When a child reaches out from across the dock to touch her father, it becomes clear that while all trials may end, a child’s love for their father knows no conclusion. A judge’s pen may run out of ink, but the indelible mark of a child’s pure affection for her father can never be erased.
In the sweltering afternoon heat, amidst the heavy air of the courtroom, that little girl arrived like a sudden splash of rain. In her innocent mind, she only wanted to embrace her father and shower him with kisses. To her, "justice" means riding on her father's shoulders, and a "verdict" means resting her head against his chest.
Law moves at its own pace, but blood flows to the rhythm of emotion.
