Actor Ethan Jamieson, known for his role in The Hunger Games, has been arrested and charged with multiple felony counts of assault following an alleged shooting incident in the United States.
Jamieson, 27, was taken into custody on April 8 in North Carolina, where authorities accuse him of attacking three men using a handgun last month. According to a statement from the Raleigh Police Department cited by People magazine, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 9:52 pm on March 22.
Upon arrival, police spoke with victims who claimed that an unidentified person on an e-bike fired a shot at their vehicle while they were driving. At one stage of the investigation, detectives identified Jamieson as the suspect who allegedly discharged a single bullet toward the vehicle.
Court documents indicate that the charges stem from his alleged use of a 9mm semi-automatic handgun to assault three individuals, identified as E.F., J.M., and K.W.
Jamieson portrayed the District 4 male tribute in the first installment of The Hunger Games franchise, which starred Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth and Woody Harrelson.
This marks the actor’s second legal issue in recent years. He was previously arrested on March 21 on charges of resisting arrest and was sentenced on March 26-just days after the alleged shooting incident.
Jamieson was denied bail on April 9. His disposition hearing is scheduled for April 30.
