Mild earthquakes struck three areas near Bangladesh early Monday (June 29).
The tremors were felt in Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya in India between 4AM to 5AM.
According to India's National Center for Seismology (NCS), three earthquakes struck northeastern India and nearby border regions in the early hours of the morning.
The first earthquake, measuring 3.5 on the Richter scale, jolted around 4:13AM (Bangladesh time) in Kangpokpi district of Manipur which originated at a depth of 59 kilometers below the earth's surface.
The second tremor shook at about 4:18AM ) (Bangladesh time) near the Arunachal Pradesh-Bhutan border. It registered a magnitude of 3.0 and had a shallow focal depth of 7 kilometers.
The third one occurred closer to Bangladesh, striking the West Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya, India, around 5:05AM Bangladesh time. The quake measured 2.9 on the Richter scale and originated at a depth of 10 kilometers.
