Four held with diesel in Noakhali

NOAKHALI, Apr 19: The District Detective Branch (DB) in a raid at Uday Sadhur Haat Dakkin Bazar in Char Matua Union of Noakhali Sadar Upazila arrested four people along with 1,400 liters of illegally stored diesel and a voucher car on Friday night, confirmed DB Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Mohinuddin.

The arrested are Md Rashed, 38, voucher car driver Md Nasir Uddin, 47, Md Shihab Uddin, 22, and Md Maksud, 32. They are all residents of different areas of Sadar Upazila.

District DB OC Md Mohinuddin said that the process of filing a case under the Special Powers Act against the detainees is underway with Sudharam Model Police Station.
