
RAJBARI, Apr 19: A five-day workshop on the excellence of multi-purpose uses of jute products has started at the hall of Golden Jute Products in Urakanda of the town on Sunday morning.
Deputy Commissioner Afroza Parvin inaugurated the workshop as the chief guest at the workshop organized by the Bangladesh Jute Mill Association and Business Promotion Council.
Golden Jute Products proprietor A Hakim, former secretary Babul Chandra Dey and the mill's General Manager Md Rafiqul Islam were present as special guests.
The workshop discussed in detail the multi-purpose uses of jute and techniques for producing jute products. Training will be given especially on product design, dyeing, cutting, sewing and marketing methods.
Thirty working members, both men and women, participated in the workshop. The workshop discussed the use of raw materials for other products besides jute, especially using various natural materials such as Hogla leaves, Golpata, Kachuri leaves, and straw, and provided guidance for the production of various products.
