A case has been filed over the recovery of five members of the same family murdered in Gazipur's Kapasia Upazila.
Gazipur Additional Superintendent of Police (Kaliganj Circle) Md Asaduzzaman confirmed that the case was filed at Kapasia Police Station on Saturday night.

He said, "The case was filed by Shahadat Molla, the father of the deceased Sharmin Akter. He named son-in-law (Sharmin 's husband), fugitive Forkan, and four to five unidentified people in the case."
Earlier on Saturday morning, police recovered the bodies of five people with their throats slit from Rautkona village in Kapasia.

The five dead were identified as Sharmin Akter, 30, her three daughters Meem, 15, Maria, 8, Faria, 2, and brother-in-law Rasul Mia, 22.

Sharmin and Rasul's home is in Paikkandi North Charpara. She got married to Forkan Mollah of Basabari village in Gopinathpur union of Gopalanj about a decade and a half ago. The couple lived in Kapasia with their three children. Forkan is a driver.

Forkan has been absconding since the body was recovered on Saturday. Based on evidence and statements from relatives, investigators believe that Forkan committed the brutal murder due to a "family dispute".

ASP Asaduzzaman said that multiple police teams are working to arrest the accused in the case filed in this incident. "bdnews24
