Another gas explosion leaves father, 3 sons burnt at Fatullah

Another devastating gas explosion occurred at a house in Narayanganj's Fatullah area, leaving four members of a family critically burnt.  

Authorities suspect that the incident might have been because of accumulated gas from a pipeline leak or a refrigerator compressor explosion.

The explosion took place at about 6:30am on Monday in Rakhibazar area of Kutubpur, adjacent to Shibu Market at Fatullah.
The injured were identified as Abdul Kader, 50, and his three sons - Mehedi, 17, Sakib, 16, and Rakib, 16. They rescued in critical conditions were admitted to the National Burn Institute in Dhaka.

According to local residents, a loud explosion prompted neighbours to rush to the spot, and they found that the blast had blown off the doors and windows of the house. The injured family members later emerged out of the room with severe burn injuries. Locals quickly took them to hospital.

Neighbour Md Ashraful Alam said Abdul Kader lived with his family in a rented flat in a single-storey building. He said the explosion occurred suddenly in the morning with a loud bang.
