Ex-Home Secy shown arrested in murder case

A Dhaka court on Wednesday showed ex-home secretary Md Jahangir Alam (55) arrested in a case filed over the killing of DSCC cleaner Ripon during the anti-discrimination student movement in the capital's Kotwali area.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nazmin Akter passed the order following a petition by investigation officer Inspector Mohsin Uddin of the Lalbagh zonal team.
