FSCD Week inaugurated in Chandpur

The Fire Service and Civil Defence Week-2026 was inaugurated in Chandpur on Wednesday with various awareness programmes and discussion sessions.

Marking the occasion, Chandpur Fire Service and Civil Defence organised a colourful rally, fire prevention awareness activities and a discussion meeting.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ahmed Ziaur Rahman attended the programme as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the week-long event and district Livestock Officer Jyotirmoy was present as the special guest.

The programme was chaired by district Fire Service and Civil Defence deputy assistant director Mohammad Abdullah.

Speakers at the event stressed the importance of public awareness and preparedness in preventing fire-related incidents and ensuring safety during emergencies.
