Army chief leaves for KSA for Hajj

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, along with his spouse, left for Saudi Arabia on Friday to perform Hajj.

The army chief is visiting Saudi Arabia as a royal guest of the Saudi government in response to an official invitation, reads a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). 

During the visit, he is scheduled to complete the Hajj rituals in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.

He is expected to return to Dhaka on 1 June after completing the pilgrimage.
