3 killed in Singra road mishaps

SINGRA, NATORE, June 1: Two youths and a woman were killed in separate road accidents in Singra Upazila of Natore District in two days. 

Two motorcyclists have died after being crushed by a truck in Singra, Natore. 

The accident occurred on Monday morning in the Bandar Amtala area of the Singra highway. 

The deceased are Muktar Hossain Hira, 32, son of Motalib Hossain from Islamnagari Village in Natore Sadar, and Jiban, 18, son of Majedul Islam from Sadhupara Village in Lalpur upazila. 

Another motorcyclist, Saiful Islam, 26, was seriously injured and admitted to Natore Sadar Hospital. Injured Saiful Islam is the son of Tayeb Ali from Alipur, Natore.

Separately, a woman died on Sunday night after being hit by an unknown speeding motorcycle on a rural road in the Pundri area of the upazila around 8:30 pm. 

The deceased woman is Asma Khatun, 45, daughter of Azim Uddin from Pundri Village in Kolam Union of the upazila.
