We must learn lesson of sacrifice: CU VC

CHATTOGRAM, June 1: Vice-Chancellor (VC) of the University of Chittagong Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Forqan has called for learning the lesson of sacrifice and cultivating a selfless mentality.

The CU VC made these remarks before the Eid-ul-Azha prayer at the CU Central Jama Masjid premises recently. 

"The test that Allah took from Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS), and which they passed, has been made obligatory for those of us who are capable, through sacrifice. Through this, we can be elevated in the spirit of sacrifice and work selflessly for the welfare of people. This is the lesson given to us by Allah," he added.

The VC extended his heartfelt greetings and Eid Mubarak to all teachers, students, officials, employees of the university, as well as former students and the entire nation.
