Dear Sir,
Recently, the number of road accidents have increased at an alarming rate in the country. Almost every day we hear tragic news of people losing their lives on the roads. Recently, a heartbreaking accident occurred in Rampal, Bagerhat, where a microbus carrying members of a wedding party collided with a bus. As a result, 13 members of the same family, including the driver, lost their lives. What was supposed to be a joyful journey home after a wedding turned into a tragic incident within moments.
The main causes of road accidents include reckless driving, excessive speed, untrained and unlicensed drivers, unfit vehicles, and poor road conditions. In many cases, traffic laws are not strictly enforced, which encourages careless behavior on the roads.
Effective measures need to be taken to deal with this problem very soon. To reduce road accidents, the government must ensure strict enforcement of traffic laws.
