Frequent load shedding in rural areas

Dear Sir,
Electricity has become essential for modern rural life in Bangladesh. Farmers, students, small businesses and ordinary people all depend on a reliable power supply. However, frequent load shedding is causing significant hardship across many villages.

Power outages disrupt education, communication and daily activities. During hot weather, children, elderly people and patients suffer the most. Farmers face difficulties operating irrigation pumps, which can affect crop production, while fish farms, poultry farms and small businesses often experience financial losses.

Load shedding also hampers healthcare services and water supply systems in rural areas. As electricity is now a basic necessity rather than a luxury, ensuring an uninterrupted power supply is crucial for improving living standards and supporting sustainable development in rural Bangladesh.
