Need for a canteen in DU Faculty of Social Sciences

Dear Sir,

The Faculty of Social Sciences at University of Dhaka is one of the largest faculties in the country, but    there is still no student canteen available. As a result, students have to go outside the faculty for food, which wastes time and often causes them to miss classes.

The lack of healthy and affordable food also creates health problems and affects students’ concentration in studies. Moreover, students do not have a proper place to sit, relax or discuss academic matters together.

A canteen is not a luxury; it is a basic necessity for students. Therefore, a student-friendly canteen in the Faculty of Social Sciences is urgently needed.
