Govt promotes Addl IGP Awlad Hossain, others

The government has promoted two Additional Inspectors General of Police (Additional IGPs) to Grade-1 posts and elevated five Deputy Inspectors General (DIGs) to the rank of Additional IGPs in Grade-2 posts.

The Home Ministry issued two separate notifications in this regard  on June 4. 

Md Delwar Hossain Mia, Additional IGP of Highway Police and AKM Awlad Hossain, Additional IGP at Police Headquarters were promoted to Grade-1 position.

Md Mushfiqur Rahman, DIG of Sylhet Range, Barrister Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, Director (DIG) of the National Security Intelligence (NSI), Md Moniruzzaman, DIG of Chattogram Range, Faruk Ahmed, Additional Director General (DIG) of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and Rezaul Karim Mallik, DIG of Dhaka Range were promoted to additional inspectors general.
