Two nabbed with Indian liquor in Feni

FENI, June 20: Police have arrested two people along with 117 bottles of Indian liquor from an ambulance belonging to 'Parshuram Clinic' owned by Parshuram Municipality BNP Member Secretary Mahbubul Haque Mahbub on the Parshuram-Feni road in Parshuram Upazila of the district on Saturday morning. The estimated value of the recovered liquor is Tk 2.43 lakh.

The arrested are - ambulance driver Jasim Uddin, 51, son of Ashraf Ali of the upazila and Minhazur Rahman alias Omi, 21, son of Mizanur Rahman of Dakkhin Kolapara of Parshuram Municipality.

Parshuram Model Police Station (PS) Sub-Inspector (SI) Nasir Uddin and ASI Rajib Bairagi and other police members conducted the operation.

Officer-in-Charge of the PS Ashraful Islam confirmed the news.
