Dear Sir,
The road from Chandina Sadar to Badarpur in Cumilla is one of the primary modes of transportation for the local public. However, it is highly regrettable that CNG drivers are illegally charging passengers 50 Taka for a distance of mere 7 kilometers. The suffering intensifies after evening hours when the fare is arbitrarily hiked to 60 or 70 Taka without any announcement.
Considering the actual distance, this fare is not only unreasonable but also an extreme form of exploitation. The CNG drivers here have formed a powerful syndicate, holding ordinary people hostage and imposing fares entirely at their own whim.
This CNG syndicate of drivers must be dismantled, and a specific fare chart should be displayed in a visible location. We hope the local administration will take swift and effective action to end this long-standing suffering of the general public.
