The 43rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) was held at the BGMEA Complex in Uttara on Saturday, with industry leaders reaffirming their commitment to collective efforts to address the challenges facing the country's ready-made garment (RMG) sector.
The meeting was presided over by BGMEA President Mahmud Hasan Khan and began with a welcome address by the association's first Vice President, Selim Rahman, said a press release.
During the AGM, members approved the audited financial statements for the 2024-25 fiscal year.
The budget for the 2025-26 fiscal year was also presented and approved, while auditors for the period were appointed, according to BSS report.
Participants stressed the importance of unity and coordinated action to overcome existing and emerging challenges confronting the garment industry.
