Stop noise pollution

Dear Sir,

Noise pollution has now become a serious threat to public health in Bangladesh. From cities to rural areas, its harmful effects are increasing every day. In the name of modernization, vegetable sellers, hawkers and even beggars play loud music on the streets. This constant sound terror in alleys is making life unbearable. The health impact is severe. WHO, UNICEF and World Bank studies show that noise pollution causes over 30 complex diseases. It increases high blood pressure, heart problems, headaches, insomnia and mental stress. Children, elderly citizens and pregnant women suffer the most. To address this, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has enforced the 'Noise Pollution Control Rules 2025'. The rules ban loudspeakers from 9 PM to 6 AM and make prior permission mandatory for events. Sadly, these rules are ignored in practice.

I urgently request the authorities to act now. Please launch awareness campaigns in schools, mosques, and markets. Strictly enforce the 2025 rules to protect public health and ensure a peaceful environment for all.
