Youth's body found at Satkhira fish enclosure, family alleges murder

Police recovered the body of a young man from in front of his fish enclosure in Kaliganj upazila of Satkhira early Wednesday.

The deceased was identified as Sanjib Sarkar, 30, from in front of his fish enclosure in Kaliganj upazila of Satkhira. He was the son of Gopal Chandra Sarkar of Thekra Rahimpur village.

According to family members and locals, Sanjib left home with his father around 8PM on Tuesday (June 30). His father returned home two hours later, but Sanjib remained missing. After a search, locals found his body in front of his fish enclosure and informed the family.

The family alleged that Sanjib was murdered and, later, his body was dumped at the site to mislead investigators. They demanded a proper investigation and the arrest of those responsible.

Kaliganj Police Station OC said the body was recovered and sent for an autopsy after an inquest. 

Police are investigating the incident.
