Youth killed in Gopalganj bus accident

A young man was killed after being hit by a passenger bus on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Kashiani, Gopalganj, on Thursday morning.

Deceased, Alauddin Khan, 28, was a resident of Bhattaidhopa village in Sajail Union. 

According to Bhanga Highway Police Officer in-Charge Md Helal Uddin, the accident occurred while he was crossing the highway at Majra. A bus belonging to 'Parjatan Paribahan' struck him, leaving him dead on the spot.

Police seized the bus, though the driver and helper managed to fleed.

The body was recovered and will be handed over to the family after legal formalities.
