'Jailer 2', starring Rajinikanth, is set to hit theatres on October 15, 2026, during the Dussehra festival.
The release date was announced on Thursday with an action-packed teaser directed by Nelson. The video keeps the storyline under wraps, showing Rajinikanth mostly in silhouette before ending with the superstar's trademark walk.
Released in 2023, 'Jailer' became the highest-grossing Tamil film of the year. It also featured Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan and Tamannaah in key roles.
