NRBC Bank launches campaign to promote Bangla QR

NRBC Bank has launched a nationwide campaign to promote cashless transactions and encourage the use of Bangla QR, reinforcing its commitment to advancing digital payments across Bangladesh.

As part of the campaign, a rally was organized in the Motijheel area on Sunday. The campaign was inaugurated by Dr Md Touhidul Alam Khan, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of NRBC Bank, as the Chief Guest, says a press release.

The event was attended by Mohammad Abdul Qaium Khan, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer; Md Shaheen Howlader, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Business Officer; along with other senior officials of the bank. Following the rally, Bangla QR codes were distributed to local merchants to enable them to receive digital payments seamlessly.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Md Touhidul Alam Khan, said, "Bangladesh Bank has introduced Bangla QR under the 'One Country, One QR' initiative to establish a unified digital payment ecosystem. This fully cashless payment solution has made the country's payment system simpler, more secure, and more efficient. 

Through NRBC Bank's Planet App, customers can conveniently make payments using Bangla QR. The bank is expanding the availability of Bangla QR from small roadside vendors to retail outlets and shopping malls, enabling merchants of all sizes to accept digital payments with ease."
