3 found dead in three districts

Three persons were found dead in Bagerhat and Gopalganj districts and Bauphal Upazila of Patuakhali District on Saturday.
BAGERHAT: Police recovered the body of a BNP leader from his house in Ranabijoypur Village of Shatgambuj Union in Bagerhat Sadar Upazila on Saturday afternoon. 

Deceased Chakladar Abul Kalam, 60, was the son of late Chakladar Hatem Ali of the village and an Upazila BNP member. He was a contractor by profession.

Yasmin Begum, the wife of Kalam's cousin, said, “Kalam’s wife and two sons live in Bagerhat town. I had been feeding Kalam three times a day. On Saturday morning, getting no response, I entered the house and saw him dead with a cloth wrapped around his neck. Later, the matter was reported to the police.” 

Bagerhat Sadar Model Police Station (PS) Inspector (Investigation) Md Shahidul Islam said the police recovered the body and sent it to the Bagerhat District Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

GOPALGANJ: Police recovered the floating body of an unidentified person aged about 50 from the Madhumati Beel Root Channel in Haridaspur area of Gopalganj Sadar Upazila on Saturday noon.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Gopalganj Sadar PS Alamgir Hossain said that locals saw the body and called the National Service 999. Later, the police recovered the body and sent it to the Gopalganj 250-bed General Hospital morgue for an autopsy. 

BAUPHAL, PATUAKHALI: Police recovered the hanging body of a housewife from the first floor of a house on Darbesh Mia Road in Bauphal Municipality of the district on Saturday morning. 

Police sources said that the deceased Israt Jahan Nishi, 28, daughter of Nasir Molla of Deula area in Lalmohan Upazila of Bhola District, was married to Monirul Islam Dhali of Darbesh Mia Road on April 14. Since the marriage, there has been dispute between the couple. After a fight early Saturday, they went to sleep in separate rooms. In the morning, the family members found Nishi hanging. Later, the police recovered the body and sent it to the Patuakhali Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
