Government has postponed all HSC and equivalent examinations under the Chattogram Education Board till July 16, citing the ongoing flood situation in the country’s southeastern region.
Prime Minister’s (PM) Adviser for Education and Primary and Mass Education Mahdi Amin announced the decision at a press conference on Saturday afternoon, saying it followed discussions with deputy commissioners of the affected districts.
He said the prime minister was monitoring the government’s flood response round the clock and that the administration had taken multifaceted steps to tackle the natural disaster with the highest priority.
The adviser said the prime minister had directed officials to stand by affected people and asked party leaders and activists to join relief efforts.
