Katrina turns 43: From struggling model to Bollywood's top actress

Popular Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif, widely known for her hit track 'Chikni Chameli', turned 43 today. The glamorous actress was born on this day (July 16) in Hong Kong in 1983.

Born as Katrina Turquotte, the star lived in several countries during her childhood before finding fame in Bollywood as Katrina Kaif. She has seven siblings. Apart from Hindi cinema, she has also appeared in Telugu and Malayalam films.

Although she began her Bollywood journey with a B-grade film, Katrina Kaif has established herself as one of the most influential actresses in the industry. Her career took off after starring alongside Salman Khan in the 2005 film 'Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya'. 

Overcoming initial hurdles, she delivered major box office hits including 'Namastey London', 'Apne', 'Welcome', 'Singh Is Kinng', 'New York', 'Ek Tha Tiger', and 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'.

In addition to her acting career, Kaif captivated audiences with numerous hit item numbers, ranging from 'Kamli' to 'Kala Chashma'. Currently, the actress remains busy spending time with her husband Vicky Kaushal and their only child.
