Spain have been hit by a major injury concern ahead of their FIFA World Cup final clash against Argentina, with star winger Lamine Yamal missing team training and raising doubts over his availability for the title decider.

The 19-year-old forward was not seen participating in Spain’s regular training session three days before the final, scheduled to be played in New York on July 20. Images also showed Yamal with a bandage on his left thigh, increasing concerns within the Spanish camp.

According to reports from Spanish media, Yamal trained separately under observation instead of joining his teammates. The team’s medical staff are closely monitoring his condition, although the Spanish Football Federation has not yet released an official update regarding the extent of the injury.

Yamal has been one of Spain’s key attacking weapons throughout the tournament. His pace, dribbling ability and creativity have repeatedly troubled opposition defences, making him a crucial part of Spain’s attacking strategy.

His absence, or even a lack of full fitness, would be a significant setback for Spain as they prepare for the biggest match of the tournament. The main question now surrounding the Spanish camp is whether Yamal will be fully fit to face Argentina in the World Cup final.
