The publication of this year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examination results has been delayed and will not take place today as announced earlier.
Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee Chairman and Dhaka Education Board Chairman Professor Syed Akteruzzaman confirmed the development on Saturday.
He said the education boards had made preparations to publish the results by July 20, in line with the target announced by Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milon on June 8.
"However, administrative pressures have delayed the compilation process, and the results are now likely to be published within this month," he told reporters.
The SSC and equivalent examinations were held from April 21 to May 20, followed by practical examinations.
A total of 1,857,344 candidates, including 930,305 boys and 927,039 girls, registered for the examinations under 11 education boards.
