BKB remittance collection jumps from $372m to over $4b in 4 years

Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) has also made remarkable progress in foreign remittance collection in the last few years. In the fiscal year 2021-22, the amount of remittance collection through the bank was 371.83 million US dollars and it was ranked 17th in remittance collection. It was 522.24 million US dollars in the fiscal year 2022-23, 718.48 million US dollars in the fiscal year 2023-24 and ranked 10th.

In the fiscal year 2024-25, it was 2,111.18 million US dollars and ranked fourth and by the end of the fiscal year 2025-26, the bank's remittance collection had crossed 4 billion US dollars.

Compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year, the bank achieved a growth of over 107 percent, solidifying its position as the country's second-largest collector of remittances. Bangladesh Krishi Bank set a new record by collecting US$ 3.13 billion in remittances in 2025, says a press release.

By collecting US$441.68 million in remittances in June 2026 alone, Bangladesh Krishi Bank currently holds the top position among all banks in the country for remittance inflow for the month. In the last fiscal year, the total volume of remittances collected by the bank stood at US$4,100.62 million, equivalent to Tk 50,249 crore.
