Man stabbed to death in Hazaribagh

A 28-year-old man died after being stabbed by unidentified assailants in Dhaka’s Hazaribagh on Wednesday morning, police and family members said.

The victim, Sagar Ahmed, also known as Bullet, was attacked on a road adjacent to Hazaribagh Park at around 1:30 am on Wednesday.
According to his relatives, Sagar was rescued in a critically injured condition and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital at around 2:30 am. He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at about 5:30 am on Wednesday.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) Police Outpost Inspector Md Faruk confirming that matter, said that the body has been kept at the hospital morgue and the matter has been reported to the concerned police station.

Shawon Hossain, the victim’s younger brother, said that Sagar had previously worked at a lozenge factory and later took up various jobs. Most recently, he had been working as a driver’s assistant.

He also said that unidentified attackers struck his brother several times on the head with a sharp weapon and left him bleeding on the road beside Hazaribagh Park. 

Local residents later rescued him and took him to the hospital.

The family learned about the incident through police and local people, he added.

Sagar Ahmed, popularly known as Bullet, was a permanent resident of Lane 15 in the Bhagalpur area of Hazaribagh. His father, Shahadat Hossain, is deceased.
