The Bandarban district administration has suspended all river transport services between Thanchi Sadar and Tindumukh until July 30 due to adverse weather conditions and safety concerns.
The decision was announced in an emergency public notice issued on Saturday, signed by SM Hasan, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development and Human Resource Management).
According to the notice, the suspension has been imposed to protect the lives and property of tourists and local residents amid unfavourable weather and the risk of accidents.
The district administration has urged both tourists and residents to comply with the directive and exercise caution until normal river transport services resume.
