BB Governor visits Purbachal’s Nila market to promote Bangla QR

Bangladesh Bank (BB) Governor Md Mustaqur Rahman, visited Nila Market in Purbachal New Town on Saturday as part of the ongoing Bangla QR campaign. Senior officials from Bangladesh Bank, along with representatives from relevant banks and payment service providers (PSPs), were present during the visit.

The governor toured various shops in the market and exchanged views with local merchants and shoppers. He informed those present about the benefits of digital transactions through Bangla QR and urged them to adopt it as a secure, fast and convenient payment method for their daily transactions.

During the visit, the governor personally purchased several items from the market and paid using Bangla QR. He expressed optimism that his personal initiative would boost enthusiasm and raise awareness among the general public and business community about the use of Bangla QR.
