Prof Asaduzzaman new VC of KAU

KHULNA, July 28: In a notification issued by the Ministry of Education on Tuesday, Professor Dr Md Asaduzzaman Sarker of the Department of Agricultural Extension Education at Bangladesh Agricultural University has been appointed Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Khulna Agricultural University (KAU) for a four-year term.

Dr Sarker will serve as Vice-Chancellor for four years from the date of joining or until his retirement, whichever comes first. He will receive the salary and allowances equivalent to his substantive post and enjoy other benefits in accordance with the existing rules.

As the university’s chief executive officer, he has been directed to remain on the campus full-time. The notification also stated that the Chancellor may revoke the appointment at any time if deemed necessary.
