Several killed in shooting at US restaurant

Several people were killed and others injured in a shooting at an In-N-Out Burger restaurant in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Saturday, authorities said.

Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks said the suspected gunman was also killed and that there was no ongoing threat to the public. He did not immediately confirm the number of casualties, describing the scene as “very chaotic.”

Witnesses said the suspect was carrying an AR-style rifle before being shot by another individual armed with a pistol. A restaurant employee reportedly pulled a woman who had been shot to safety while waiting for emergency responders.

City officials said preliminary findings indicate the attacker acted alone, though the investigation remains ongoing.

Idaho Senator Mike Crapo thanked first responders for their swift response to the incident.
