Mercantile Bank elects Feroz Alam, Abdul Hannan as Vice Chairmen

A S M Feroz Alam and Md Abdul Hannan, MP have been elected as Vice Chairmen of the Board of Directors of Mercantile Bank PLC in its 490th board meeting held at Bank’s head office on Friday. 

ASM Feroz Alam is a renowned businessman and Managing Director of Bengal Trading Ltd (Tokyo). He is Sponsor Director of the Bank and chairman of Mercantile Bank Securities Limited (MBSL). He is a Sponsor and former Chairman of Premier Leasing and Finance Limited and Founder of ‘Saheda Gafur Ibrahim General Hospital’ in Patuakhali. He is also involved in financial services and many other businesses at home and abroad, says a press release.

Md. Abdul Hannan, re-elected as Vice Chairman of Mercantile Bank PLC. He is a Sponsor Director of the Bank and Member of the Parliament from Chandpur-4 (Faridganj). Hannan is a renowned businessman and Chairman and Managing Director of Dabstar and Associates Limited along with Murad Apparels Ltd. 

Md Abdul Hannan is also involved with several export oriented ready-made garment and other businesses. Besides this, he is well recognized for his benevolent contribution to the society through different social welfare, education and health related activities.
