Clash in Uttarkhan: DNCC Administrator, MP allegedly attacked

A clash broke out between Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) cleaners and local residents in the Rajbari STS (Secondary Transfer Station) area of Uttarkhan in the capital on Sunday.

Allegations were raised in this incident that DNCC Administrator Md Shafiqul Islam Khan and local Member of Parliament (MP) jahangir Hossain came under attack.

DNCC Public Relations Officer Zakir Hossain on Sunday confirmed this information.

According to the DNCC release, the clash erupted between local residents and cleaners in the Rajabari STS area under Ward No. 46 of DNCC Zone-8.

To bring the situation under control, DNCC Administrator Md Shafiqul Islam Khan, local MP Jahangir Hossain, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, and related officials went to the spot.

The DNCC claimed that at one stage of the clash, some local miscreants launched an attack on the cleaners.

During the incident, the Administrator and the MP were also allegedly attacked.

However, the DNCC did not provide further details regarding whether anyone was injured in the attack or the exact cause behind the clash.
