Hockey squad trimmed to twenty-four

With the upcoming Asian Games in sight, the Bangladesh Hockey Federation on Tuesday trimmed the preliminary squad to twenty-four selected from the initial squad of thirty-eight, following an assessment of the players' performances and fitness.

The second phase of the training camp will focus primarily on enhancing the players' technical and tactical skills. The final squad for the Asian Games will be selected upon completion of this phase of the camp.

The selected players 
are - Biplob Kujur, Ashraful Haque Shad, Md Ashraful Islam, Md Al Nahean Shuvo, Md Hozifa Hossain, Amirul Islam, Rezaul Karim Babu, MM Mehrab Hasan Samin, Md Roman Sarkar, Mohammad Fazla Hossain Rabby, Md Abed Uddin, Md Shahidur Rohman Saju, Md Obidul Hossain Joy, Md Deen Islam Emon, Md Khaled Mhmud Rakin, Puskar Khisa, Aman Shorif, Shohanur Rahman Sobuj, Farhad Ahmed Shetul, Nuruzzaman Nayan, Mahbub Hossain, Md Mainul Islam, Rashel Mahmud and Md Rakibul Hasan.    �"BSS
