3 killed in two trucks collision in Bogura

Three persons were killed and two others injured as a running truck hit another stationary truck on the Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Bogura on Sunday morning.

The accident took place around 8:00AM on the flyover near Palli Bidyut Samity office in Chilimpur.

According to police sources, a truck bound for Dhaka suddenly went out of service and was, later, parked on the flyover. Another Dhaka-bound speeding collided with the stationary one from behind. The cabin of the latter truck was severely damaged.

The injured were rushed to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital. Traffic on both sides of the highway halted following the accident, while police and fire service officials were trying to ease the traffic.
